Hector has been a free agent ever since leaving Fulham last summer and Sheffield Wednesday have been looking at signing him.

Wednesday boss Darren Moore revealed that Hector had started training with the club as the Owls wished to take a look at his conditioning.

It was claimed that his performances in training were impressive and a move back to Hillsborough looked to be on the cards for the centre-back.

However, the defender has stopped training with Sheffield Wednesday and there is now uncertainty that a move will materialise.

Talks have been held between Sheffield Wednesday and the agents of the centre-back, but for the moment the potential of him signing for the club is in doubt.

A move is not entirely ruled out though for the 30-year-old defender, who made only four appearances last season in the Championship for Fulham.

Hector flourished on loan with Sheffield Wednesday back in the 2018/19 season but it is now up in the air whether he will make another appearance for them.
