Rangers have thrashed out an agreement with Standard Liege to bring Raskin to Ibrox and are expected to put the finishing touches to the deal today.

The midfielder has already completed his medical with Rangers and is set to strengthen Michael Beale’s midfield options for the second half of the campaign.

And in a sign of how keen Raskin is to join Rangers, he also turned down Stuttgart.

According to Belgian daily Het Belang von Limburg, Stuttgart made a big push to tempt Raskin to move to the Bundesliga instead.

However, Raskin had his heart firmly set on playing at Ibrox with Rangers and resisted Stuttgart’s approach.

The midfielder was out of contract at Standard Liege in the summer and will now look to kick on with his progress in Scotland.

Raskin has agreed a contract with Rangers which will run through until the summer of 2027.
