The deal to take Porro to Tottenham was off at the start of Monday after it emerged that Sporting Lisbon reneged on the agreed-upon terms with Tottenham.
The 23-year-old continued to push for the move and even missed training in order to force Sporting Lisbon into selling him.
A deal was finally agreed upon between the two clubs and the Spaniard travelled to England late on Monday evening.
He is scheduled to undergo a medical today before signing a contract and it has been claimed that Porro will be Tottenham’s last senior signing of the transfer window.
Antonio Conte has been pushing to bring in more players but Porro was always their top target for the winter window.
While an opportunity could arise over the course of the day, Spurs are unlikely to make more first-team additions following the arrival of Porro.
Tottenham also signed Arnaut Danjuma earlier in the window after he underwent a medical with Everton.
Djed Spence is expected to leave Tottenham on a loan deal before the window closes tonight.
