The 20-year-old striker has been one of the standout performers in the recently concluded Ligue 1 season in France.

He has scored 19 goals in 33 appearances in the French top flight this season and his performances have piqued the interest of clubs across Europe.

Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham and Aston Villa are amongst the clubs who are interested in getting their hands on the France Under-21 international.

And according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Newcastle have also joined the race to get their hands on Wahi this summer.

The Magpies are looking to bring in top-quality players to strengthen Eddie Howe’s hand after qualifying for the Champions League.

However, Newcastle are alive to the possibility of signing young talents and Wahi has emerged as a target.

Montpellier are resigned to losing the forward this summer and are looking to get somewhere around €30m from his departure.

Serie A giants Juventus are also believed to be interested in getting their hands on the striker.
