Onana has emerged as Manchester United’s top target as Erik ten Hag seeks to bring in a new number-one goalkeeper this summer.

With David de Gea yet to sign a new deal, talks are under way to bring in a new shot-stopper who would be more aligned with Ten Hag’s way of football.

The Inter goalkeeper ticks all the marks and his agent was in England last week for talks with the Manchester United hierarchy.

The Nerazzurri are expecting an offer from the Red Devils this week and according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInterNews.it), personal terms will not be a problem.

It has been claimed that Manchester United are prepared to double his current €3m per year salary.

Inter are open to selling him as well but want at least €50m before agreeing to let him go this summer.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United make a concrete effort to land Onana this week or delay a move as they push to sign the midfielder and striker that Ten Hag also wants.
