Zakaria has emerged as one of West Ham’s primary targets as David Moyes looks to bring in two midfielders to replace Declan Rice in his squad.

The Swiss international spent last season on loan at Chelsea and Juventus are keen to move him on this summer as part of their plans to restructure their team ahead of the new campaign.

The Hammers have been in conversations with Juventus and several intermediaries over the last week to work out a deal for Zakaria’s transfer.

And according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, they are scheduled to have more talks today in their pursuit of the Switzerland international.

The pace of the negotiations is set to pick up as West Ham look to close out a deal for the midfielder.

Juventus want to sell him but have clear ideas about the kind of money they want from his departure.

The Serie A giants want at least €20m before agreeing to sanction the midfielder’s sale in the ongoing transfer window.
