Scamacca is Roma’s primary target this summer despite divisions inside their camp about their pursuit of the striker.

The Giallorossi held talks with West Ham earlier in the window but the Hammers showed no inclination to accept a loan offer for the Italian.

Roma have been waiting to make another move while studying other options in the market.

According to Italian daily La Repubblica (via LaRoma24), the Serie A giants will reopen talks with West Ham in the next few days to discuss a deal for Scamacca.

They will again propose a loan deal but are willing to include an obligation to buy based on the forward hitting certain targets.

Scamacca has reported for pre-season with West Ham and has travelled with the team for their tour of Australia.

He favours a return to Italy and has more or less made it clear that Roma are his preferred option.
