Nick Pope is Eddie Howe’s clear number one for the upcoming summer and Darlow is keen to move for first-team football.

Multiple suitors from the Championship have been pushing for a deal, however, the Magpies have set a fixed price to let Darlow go.

Leeds are going through a squad overhaul this summer and Darlow has emerged as a top target for the goalkeeping department.

However, Bournemouth are the frontrunners to secure Darlow and the Magpies could allow him to leave their pre-season camp in the USA.

He spent the second half of last season with Hull City in the Championship, making 12 appearances for them.

Hull tried to sign him permanently this summer but his price tag knocked them back and Leeds are poised to face the same fate.

Now it remains to be seen if and when the Cherries will meet Newcastle’s asking price for the goalkeeper and let him leave despite Pope’s ongoing injury.
