Cannon spent the latter half of last season on loan at Preston North End and scored eight times in the Championship for the club.
Preston want him back but there are a host of other Championship clubs who are interested in getting their hands on the young Everton striker.
Everton are prepared to loan him out and are waiting to study all the offers on their table for the forward.
And it has been claimed that Birmingham are amongst the teams who are interested in getting their hands on the striker.
The Blues have made contact with Everton and have made their pitch to try and take Cannon to St. Andrew’s Stadium this summer.
Birmingham are pushing to get their hands on Cannon and are also ready to put in a big offer as well.
The club are said to be prepared to offer a substantial loan fee to Everton to sign the young striker this summer.
It remains to be seen if Blues’ efforts will bear fruit.
