Manchester United have a deal in place to sell Harry Maguire to West Ham United in the ongoing transfer window.
With three weeks left in the transfer window, Manchester United are now in the market for a centre-back and Jean-Clair Todibo and Edmond Tapsoba are on their wish list.
But Manchester United also have their eyes on Pavard and the club are in talks to sign the Bayern Munich defender this summer.
However, according to German broadcaster Sport1, Tuchel and the rest of the Bayern Munich decision-makers want to hold on to him.
The German champions were confident of signing Kyle Walker but the England defender’s U-turn and his decision to stay at Manchester City has shocked the Bavarians.
With Walker not coming, Bayern Munich are now keen to convince Pavard to stay on at the club.
The Frenchman has already informed the club that he will not sign a new contract to replace the existing one that expires next year.
Pavard is not considering staying at Bayern Munich and is pushing for a fresh challenge at a different top league.
