Origi has become surplus to requirements at AC Milan this summer but with eight days left in the window, he is still at the club.

The Belgian rejected offers to move to Saudi Arabia earlier in the window and West Ham’s interest in him never developed into something concrete.

Sheffield United are interested in signing the forward but so far, they have not made a bid for him.

And according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A giants are getting increasingly desperate to sell him.

Origi scored just two times in 36 appearances, but his wages are contrary to his importance in the squad.

The Belgian is on a salary worth €4m per season, which makes him one of the highest earners in the AC Milan group.

The Rossoneri are desperate to move him on but have so far heard only silence when it comes to any official approaches.

AC Milan are hopeful that before the end of the window next week, Origi will find a taker in the market.
