Drameh has made two substitute appearances for Leeds this season and is surplus to requirements following the arrival of Djed Spence on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

Southampton manager Russell Martin is a big fan of the player and the club are considering taking him to St. Mary’s ahead of Friday’s deadline day.

However, there is more Championship interest in him with Birmingham City pushing to sign him on loan.

The Blues are in talks with Leeds and are trying to work out a loan deal to take Drameh to St. Andrew’s in the coming hours.

But they will likely face stiff competition for his signature as West Brom are also interested in signing him.

The Baggies have made an enquiry to probe the possibility of signing the defender ahead of the end of the window.

Drameh is a proven quality in the Championship where he has already made a massive impression on loan at Cardiff City.

The defender was also a regular in the Luton side that won promotion to the Premier League last season.
