Thomas-Asante joined West Brom from Salford City last season and turned heads with his performances.

The 24-year-old forward is on the wish list of several Championship outfits and Stoke City are particularly keen on him.

Stoke City boss Alex Neil is desperate to bring in another centre-forward despite signing Wesley Moraes and Ryan Mmaee this summer.

The Potters have seen two bids knocked back from West Brom recently, and it is clear that the Baggies want £5m for the player.

It has been claimed that no club have so far come anywhere near West Brom’s valuation of Thomas-Asante.

Now it remains to be seen whether Stoke City will decide to match West Brom’s valuation with a third bid as the deadline draws near.

The 24-year-old forward has also begun the new season in an impressive manner, scoring three times in four appearances for West Brom.
