Lloris has been left stranded at Tottenham after a summer where he was expected to move on from the north London club.

Guglielmo Vicario joined Spurs in the last transfer window and is the clear number one for Ange Postecoglou.

Lloris declined to move to Lazio as he was not guaranteed the number-one spot by the Serie A giants.

And according to Italian  daily Il Messaggero (via LaRoma24), Lloris was offered to Lazio’s hated local rivals Roma in the last transfer window as well.

His agent offered him around Europe and Roma were amongst the teams who were given a chance to sign him.

However, Rui Patricio has Jose Mourinho’s complete trust and Roma declined to try and sign Lloris.

With the transfer window still open in Saudi Arabia and Turkey, the Frenchman still has a few avenues to leave Tottenham in the coming days.

However, for the moment he is in limbo as he is not part of Postecoglou’s plans but has failed to secure a transfer away from Spurs.
