Tchamadeu, 19, joined Neil’s side from Colchester United permanently on deadline day.

Chiefly a full-back, the English star can also play further up the pitch and he is rated highly for his skill in providing assists and scoring goals.

Dublin believes that Tchamadeu is a powerhouse of a player, something all scouts would note down, but feels it is unfair to simply focus on his physical traits when he has good technical traits too.

“The first thing I sensed was that Junior is a powerhouse”, Dublin told Stoke City’s in-house media.

“So you look at him and think he has a great size and shape that every scout will always write down, size and shape fantastic and the build is a top athletic build.

“But I think it is unfair to just put that on Junior because technically he is actually very good.

“So if you look at his numbers whether he scores or assists he has always put up good numbers offensively from his right-wing-back position or right-back.

“The quality he gives you when he arrives in the box we think that is something that will only lend itself well to this football under Alex Neil and the way we are going as a club.

“So we think that it is the blend of his physical profile and the scope to continue physically on but also the technical ability he has got.”

Tchamadeu is now hoping to feature heavily under Neil and the Potters are also looking forward to seeing the defender contribute significantly to their campaign.
