Anderson, 18, came through the youth set-up at the Valley and he spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aldershot Town.
Midfield is the chief operating area for the starlet, but he also boasts the ability to play in a number of different positions for the Addicks.
He emphasised that he can play as a defensive midfielder or as an attacking midfielder if needed, due to how he has been developed.
However, Anderson revealed that a central midfield position is the slot he prefers the most as the role offers him more on-field fluidity.
“I have had exposure to all positions because that is the way they develop you”, Anderson told the South London Press.
“Because you never know what might be needed due to injuries or just different requirements.
“I feel like I can play as a four or as a ten.
“I do like eight a lot because you can defend, attack, pass and dribble – all aspects of the game.”
Anderson is rated highly at Charlton and he has maintained a 100 per cent appearance record for the Addicks in League One this season.
He will be looking to now catch the eye of new Charlton boss Michael Appleton.
