Sancho has had a falling out with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, who revealed after his side’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal that the player was kept out of the squad due to his poor training performances.

The winger contradicted his manager on social media and since then a storm is brewing around his long-term future at the club.

Manchester United were prepared to sell him last week when the window was still open in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi clubs were informed about a £65m asking price but it has been claimed that Sancho declined to leave Old Trafford.

Approaches were made for the player, but the winger and his representatives did not entertain any offers.

Despite his relationship with Ten Hag, Sancho never thought about leaving Manchester United in the summer.

The Manchester United manager and Sancho held talks this week to resolve the situation around him.

It remains to be seen whether the England star is in the squad when Manchester United host Brighton this weekend.
