The 27-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham in the last transfer window.

Serie A giants Napoli were amongst the clubs who were interested in signing him on loan with an option to buy in the summer.

Real Betis were also interested but Spurs were only keen on loaning him out with the guarantee of an obligatory purchase clause.

Lo Celso stayed put at Tottenham but has only made one substitute appearance from the bench in the Premier League this season.

Betis are reportedly dreaming about getting their hands on their former player in the winter transfer window.

However, Haro insisted that there is not aware of any rekindling of interest in Lo Celso and stressed that they are largely baseless rumours.

The Real Betis president was quoted as saying by Seville-based daily Estadio Deportivo: “I am not aware that there have been any additional movements to what there were at the time.

“I think they are more rumours than any concrete news.”

Lo Celso is likely expected to push for a move in January if he continues to play little football at Tottenham.
