Brighton have emerged as one of the exciting teams in the Premier League under De Zerbi and have been lauded for their sleek style of football.

The Seagulls have won four of their opening five Premier League games and they have become an exciting destination for several players.

Highly-rated young forward Ansu Fati joined Brighton when he left Barcelona on a loan deal towards the end of the window.

And according to Italian daily Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.it), Brighton also pushed to sign Italy midfielder Locatelli in the summer as well.

De Zerbi is a fan of the player and contacted his compatriot to convince him to move to the Amex Stadium.

However, Locatelli declined the approach as is not interested in leaving the Serie A giants.

He is one of the most important players in the Juventus team and he rejected a chance to leave the club in the summer.
