Under Munoz’s leadership, Sheffield Wednesday have begun the season in disappointing manner and have yet to win their first game in the league this season.

The Sheffield Wednesday manager is under heavy scrutiny after a poor start and his side are set to welcome Sunderland to Hillsborough on Friday.

Munoz stated that the Owls need their supporters behind them on Friday and admitted that his team have to give more and play better on the pitch.

The Owls boss stressed that Sheffield Wednesday’s focus is to get their first win against Sunderland and believes after the first win everything will be comfortable.

“We need them now”, Munoz said at a press conference.

“Yes, we need to give more, shoot more and play better.

“This is what we want for Friday night and try and take out the stress as we go for that first win.

“We need to think about what is important, put the focus in the game and after things are more comfortable once we get that win.”

Sheffield Wednesday have not lost their last four encounters against Sunderland at Hillsborough and it remains to be seen if they can continue that record on Friday.
