The Black Cats are eyeing promotion this season and after beginning the season with two straight defeats, have managed to turn their form around.

Sunderland have picked up 12 points from their last five games and have managed to climb up to fourth place in the Championship table.

Collins pointed out that Sunderland have managed to turn up in every single game so far this season and stated that Tony Mowbray’s side have been in every match this term.

He believes that Sunderland have players at the top end of the pitch that can hurt the opposition side and is confident that Mowbray’s side can win against any team in the league if they turn up.

“We have lost games this season, but we have been in every game we have played”, Collins told Sunderland’s media.

“Yes, we lost those games as well by the odd goals.

“I thought we were the better team down at Preston; Ipswich could have gone either way; they had few opportunities.

“I think Cardiff on Sunday, did we deserve to lose that? Absolutely not.

“So we have been in every game we have played.

“I always fancy us when we turn up.

“We have players at the top end of the pitch who can hurt teams and when we turn up, we are going to give anyone a game this season.”

Sunderland are set to welcome Watford to the Stadium of Light on Wednesday and they have not beaten the Hornets in their last three meetings.
