Leicester have attacked the Championship with vigour in their effort to make sure that their foray back into the second tier of English football only lasts a season.

They have won ten of their opening eleven league games and are now odds-on favourites to win the title and get promoted back to the Premier League at the end of the campaign.

Only second-placed Ipswich have scored more than them and they have the best defensive record in the league as well.

Clarke admitted that the Foxes are cruising it in the Championship and everything feels a bit too easy for the squad they have got.

He stressed that not winning the Championship with more than 100 points on the board would be a disappointment for Leicester this season.

He said on the What The EFL podcast: “They are outstanding.

“We will talk a lot more about them over the course of the season, but I actually feel, if Leicester don’t win the title and don’t get over 100 points, it would be a disappointment from here.

“It is as if it’s too easy for them at the moment.

“They are cruising it.”

Leicester will next be in action after the break when they travel to Wales to take on Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on 21st October.
