Walker-Peters joined Saints in 2020 from Tottenham Hotspur and he has been a key figure for the south coast club since.

The versatile full-back has played 131 games for Southampton across three years and he admitted that he has a specific coping mechanism to stay fresh and recharged from all the fatigues of playing games and training sessions.

Walker-Peters revealed that different individuals have different ways to cope with their fatigue, but he likes to take naps after training to keep himself refreshed.

“When I leave the training ground, something I like to do a lot is nap”, Walker-Peters told the Daily Echo about how he recharges himself.

“Everyone is different.

“Some players like to use recovery pumps on their legs, others like to have ice baths at home.

“It all comes down to the individual.”

Southampton now sit in fifth spot in the Championship table after a rocky start to the season and Walker-Peters will be looking to play his part in a successful promotion campaign.
