After a good start to the season in the Championship, Tony Mowbray’s side have hit a slump in form, losing three games in a row.

Now the challenge for Sunderland will be to bounce back against Norwich City on Saturday in front of the Black Cats faithful.

Roberts admitted that Norwich are one of the team top teams in the division and believes that Sunderland have to take the positives from the Leicester City defeat on Tuesday and train hard to prepare themselves for the Canaries game.

The forward believes that Norwich will come on Saturday with a game plan to be aggressive and stressed that Sunderland’s players have to match the Canaries with equal aggressiveness.

“Definitely another team we need to obviously put a marker down against them”, Roberts told Sunderland’s media.

“They will come and they will try to be aggressive and we have to be equal at it.

“The manager will get us ready for that and we can take some positives from today and put them into training and into the game on Saturday.

“And then we just have to do that and make sure we get three points.”

After the defeat against Leicester, Sunderland are in ninth place in the league table with 19 points from 13 games.
