Millwall parted ways with Gary Rowett as manager last month following a series of disappointing results.

The Lions are in search of a manager and a host of candidates have been linked with the job, with talks held.

Now it has been claimed that England Under-20 boss Edwards is one of the candidates to become the next manager at Millwall.

Edwards is highly rated and has worked as an assistant manager under former Chelsea bosses Thomas Tuchel and Frank Lampard.

It has been suggested that former Southampton boss Nathan Jones is also a leading candidate to become the next permanent manager of the Lions.

Former Birmingham boss John Eustace and Yokohama Marinos manager Kevin Muscat are also on the shortlist of the Millwall hierarchy.

Now it remains to be seen whether Millwall will appoint the 37-year-old tactician to succeed Rowett at the Den.
