Rangers scored two late goals to win all three points at Ibrox last weekend and cut down Celtic’s lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership standings to five points.

Philippe Clement recently bemoaned the number of injuries in his squad at the moment, which has made things difficult for him at the start of his reign at Ibrox.

He also indicated that he is not very happy with the overall level of fitness of the squad at the moment.

However, Dalziel pointed out that fitness did not seem to be an issue when Rangers went until the end to rescue the win against Hearts.

He stressed that the Rangers players were at it until the last minute and were continuing to attack.

The former Rangers star said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “I hear the manager talking about fitness and stuff like that.

“I don’t think there was a problem on Sunday because it was 90 odd minutes they had to go and get the win.

“They were on the front foot, they were still attacking and still creating chances and they obviously got the vital three points.”

Rangers have an away trip to Dundee tonight before taking on Hearts in the Scottish League Cup semi-final on Sunday.
