The French midfielder joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Spurs in the summer and has so far played in four league games for the Turkish giants.

He recently fell out with Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk after breaking a diet regime, ordering a hamburger following a Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

The club are disappointed with Ndombele’s shape and do not believe he is at the level of fitness they require.

In the wake of the controversy, it has been suggested in some quarters that Buruk’s side could terminate Ndombele’s loan deal as early as January.

However, there is no clause in the loan agreement which would let Galatasaray end the spell early.

Whether the Turkish giants could sit down with Tottenham and find an early exit from the deal remains to be seen.

Ndombele though is working on his fitness and still has time to change Galatasaray’s mind and force his way into the Turkish side’s team.
