The Tractor Boys gained automatic promotion from League One last season and now they are running for another promotion, this time to the top tier of English football.

They are currently sitting second in the Championship with only one defeat from the opening 13 matches of the campaign.

Their EFL Cup run ended on Wednesday after they were beaten by Premier League outfit Fulham by a 3-1 scoreline.

They defeated Premier League side Wolves in the third round of the EFL Cup and they tried to match the Cottagers’ intensity with their hard work on the pitch.

Jackson stressed that his team-mates have an elite mentality and it has helped them play the way they are playing this season.

“Yes, definitely, like I have said before a lot of teams will fold under these circumstances”, Jackson told Ipswich’s media when he and his team-mates were praised for their work rate even though they were three goals down against Fulham.

“But we know what we have got as a group.

“The mentality of the group is top drawer and that has got us where we are now.

“And it will continue to help us push forward.”

Now they will be looking to keep their brilliant league form going against Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham City this Saturday.
