Fisher, 19, came through the youth ranks at Bromley and the defender arrived at Carrow Road on a long-term deal in the summer.

He made his Championship debut against Tony Mowbray’s Sunderland side last weekend and came up against winger Jack Clarke in the process.

Wagner hailed the young defender for his on-field talent and emphasised that it was clearly on display in the Sunderland match.

Dubbing Clarke ‘one of the best wingers in the Championship’, the Norwich manager added that the duel between the Sunderland man and Fisher has let the cat out of the bag.

I think we have a proper talent at our club here.

“After Sunderland, everyone now knows this”, Wagner said at a press conference.

It was his first league start against one of the best wingers in the league, and that makes his performance even bigger.

Norwich are set to face Blackburn Rovers on Sunday amid their struggles in the Championship and all eyes will be on whether Fisher gets another chance to feature.
