The Dutch side are actively searching for a centre-back to snap up in January as Southampton loan star Armel Bella-Kotchap is sidelined due to injury.

Due to the absence of Bella-Kotchap, PSV Eindhoven want to bring reinforcements to their backline and they are heavily linked with Atlanta United ace Miles Robinson.

However, PSV Eindhoven are looking at a number of options as they plan for the new year.

Their eyes have been drawn towards the Premier League and Crystal Palace.

And according to Dutch daily the Eindhovens Dagblad, the Eredivisie outfit are keeping a close eye on Palace defender Richards.

Richards arrived at Selhurst Park from Bayern Munich last year but the American has struggled to make any kind of impact in London.

PSV Eindhoven think that the fringe star of the Eagles could be a good option for them in terms of both transfer fee and football experience.

The Dutch feel that given Richards’ situation he could be snapped up for a low fee.

Richards could be a useful addition to PSV Eindhoven’s ranks, however, it remains to be seen how Crystal Palace will react if they receive official offers for him.
