Diangana was in form at the weekend when West Brom beat Hull City 3-1 in the Championship and he had a brilliant game.

The Baggies man laid on two assists during the game and was pivotal in the home side bagging all three points at home.

Clarke insisted that the winger is a brilliantly talented footballer and he is good enough to play in the Premier League.

He conceded that Diangana has struggled for consistency and that has not helped him in his bid to nail down a spot in the Baggies starting eleven regularly.

Clarke said on the What The EFL Podcast: “It was a brilliant day for Grady Diangana.

“What a frustrating player he has been! We all know that he has got unbelievable talent and he can be a wizard.

“He has Premier League ability but for one reason or another, he has struggled for consistency.

“He has never been able to nail down a regular spot but in this match, phenomenal and absolutely brilliant.”

A product of the West Ham academy, he joined West Brom on loan in 2019 before signing a permanent contract in the summer of 2020.

He has scored twice and registered three assists in the Championship this season and will now be looking to kick on.
