Derby will be hosting the young Wolves side tonight in the hope of making it three wins from their three EFL Trophy matches.

Warne’s men are sitting in seventh position in League One currently, while Collins’ side are in 14th in the Premier League 2.

Collins feels that facing Derby tonight is going to be one of his side’s toughest tests this season and insists the Rams will field a strong side.

The Wolves Under-21 boss stressed that his side need to be at their best to get anything out of the League One side as Warne takes the EFL Trophy very seriously.

“It’s only a good night if you go there and put on a good performance”, Collins told his club’s in-house media.

“It will probably be one of our toughest games of the season.

“Derby play really strong players in this competition and they take it seriously.

“I think Paul Warne has won it with Rotherham in the past and he takes it seriously.

“They have a big squad so it won’t be a group of Derby County’s Under-21s, it’ll be a group of Derby County’s first-team or first-team fringe players.

“We will have to be at our very best to get anything out of the game, but what a challenge that is for us and what an occasion it is for us.”

Now it remains to be seen if the Premier League 2 side will be able to dig out a result at Pride Park and get their second win of the cup.
