The Rams are looking for their second successive win in the league as they take on Barnsley at Pride Park this weekend.

Neill Collins’ side will visit Derby on the back of a six-game unbeaten run and their forward Cole is in impressive form as he has scored eleven goals in 15 games.

Warne admitted that the Oakwell outfit are going to be a tough test for Derby and warned his players about the threat posed by Cole.

The Derby boss pointed out that Cole has the ability to stretch the play with his pace and stated that he is aware of the danger the Barnsley forward possesses for teams that play a high line against them.

“It is going to be a tough game”, Warne told Rams TV.

“They have a real threat.

“Devante up top is a real threat in behind with his pace he is able to stretch the play.

“So if you press and press and play a high line, there is always that risk, so a bit of a risk reward, but they have goals throughout the team.

“They are aggressive, and like I said, probably a good blueprint for a really good League One side.”

Derby are three points behind fourth-placed Barnsley and they have a chance of getting into the playoff zone by securing a win on Saturday.
