With the January transfer window now approaching, clubs are planning for what they need to do to strengthen or repair their squads.

The Lilywhites, who have enjoyed a good start to the season with their first defeat coming only earlier in the week against Chelsea, have been hit by injury issues of late.

Tottenham sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the summer and spent much of the amount received on fresh faces.

As such, the club’s January transfer window is shaping up to be one in which Postecoglou will need to wheel and deal.

Postecoglou has previously stated his desire to wrap up his business early, but Spurs do not have much money to spend.

As such, the Australian could be forced to wait to see what other clubs do or rely on possible loan deals before he can add.

It remains to be seen if the spate of injuries Tottenham have suffered convince the club to release more cash for January.
