Fornals has been a bit part player at West Ham this season and has started just one Premier League game thus far.

His current deal is set to expire at the end of the season and he is expected to leave on a free transfer.

Sevilla tried to sign him last summer and are eyeing snapping the midfielder up on a free transfer at the end of the ongoing campaign.

But according to Seville-based daily Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla sporting director Orta will have to work hard to beat competition from other clubs to get Fornals next summer.

Several clubs have their eyes on the player and are aware of his contract situation at the London Stadium.

Orta is hoping to convince the player to move to Sevilla instead of considering other offers on his table.

Fornals will be able to speak to foreign clubs about a pre-contractual agreement as soon as January.
