Norwich have managed to win only two games out of their last ten league games and it has been suggested that Wagner is under pressure.

The Canaries managed to win their last game against Cardiff City, coming back from a 2-1 deficit to win 3-2, but Norwich’s performance has yet to convince Wagner’s critics.

Roberts praised the German tactician for maintaining his composure in front of the media and lauded his composure for not sniping back despite being on the receiving end of so much criticism.

The former Norwich star is of the view that Wagner will feel a lot better after the Canaries’ resolute display against Cardiff City to dig out a win.

“I think David Wagner is one who’s had everything thrown at him”, Roberts wrote in his Pink Un column.

“But you know what? He’s been dignified in the way he’s spoken.

“He’s been a proper cool, calm gentleman about everything.

“He hasn’t bitten, hasn’t sniped.

“When you hear him talk he’s got a cool, mild manner about him, and I was absolutely chuffed for him because, before the game you hear these different rumours, how he’s a dead man walking, how whatever happens, he’s gone by Monday anyway.

“He will feel better about himself, having seen the lads dig in and scrap – after they gave two sloppy goals away just before half-time it could have gone either way.”

Now it remains to be seen whether the Norwich boss will be able to turn their season around by building upon their victory over Cardiff.
