The 22-year-old forward started the season impressively by scoring four goals in his first eight league games, but he failed to maintain his form and went on a seven-game drought.

Last weekend, coming off the bench, Idah scored an 84th-minute winner against Cardiff City and helped Norwich end their seven-match winless streak.

Roberts is of the view that Idah’s goal will give him and the entire team a lift, as he believes that his winner can become a turning point in Norwich’s ongoing season.

The ex-Canaries star also stated that Idah should give up being a centre forward if his goal against the Bluebirds does not help him turn his form around.

“That goal should be just what Adam needs – if it doesn’t, he shouldn’t be a centre forward”, Roberts wrote in his Pink Un column

“Sometimes there’s moments in a game, in a season, that can turn things around. Big goals.

“One thing for sure, it will give everybody a huge lift up there.”

Norwich City will take on Queens Park Rangers after the international break and all eyes will be on Idah to see whether he will be able to find the back of the net against the R’s.
