Norwich beat Bristol City 2-1 at the weekend and they moved within four points of the playoff spots despite their problems this season.

The Canaries have won three of their last four Championship games to revive their season and Wagner has continued to remain in the job despite all the noise around his future.

Clarke insisted that Norwich are still a talented team with a good blend of young players and experienced professionals.

He feels the most important characteristic of the Norwich side this season has been the spirit they have shown and the way they have continued to play for Wagner despite all the talk over his future.

Clarke said on the What The EFL Podcast: “They have got talent and they have got a nice blend of youth and experience.

“They have shown a bit of character, haven’t they?

“They have definitely shown that they are still playing for the manager, no one has downed tools.”

Norwich will hope to continue their forward momentum when they host Preston North End at Carrow Road on Saturday.
