Danny Rohl has made an impact since taking charge of Wednesday and they have picked up four points from their last two league games.

They shocked everyone by getting a point against league leaders Leicester City and managed to beat an impressive Blackburn Rovers side at home last weekend.

Parkin stressed that there is definitely a different intensity to Wednesday’s football since Rohl took charge and it is evident with the way they have approached games.

However, he insisted that Sheffield Wednesday need to improve their record on the road and start picking up results away from home in order to give themselves a chance of survival.

But the former Championship star believes it is still a long shot for Wednesday as they are still some way away from lifting themselves out of the relegation zone.

Parkin said on the What The EFL Podcast: “There is definitely an intensity about their game.

“And that has been evident since he walked through the door.

“A really good win, really good three or four days, but still loads of work to do.

“They need to improve away from Hillsborough.

“They have lost one in five at home but just need to turn around on their travels and start picking up some results.

“They can have a go at it but it’s going to be tough as they are still well adrift.”

Sheffield Wednesday will be on the road next weekend when they take on Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
