Liverpool legend John Aldridge has admitted he is hugely worried about what the Reds’ front three are producing at the moment.

Jurgen Klopp’s men pounded Manchester United at Anfield last weekend, but could not make the breakthrough and had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

And on Saturday they scored just once at Anfield against Arsenal, with the match ending 1-1 and meaning another two points dropped in the Premier League.

Former Liverpool striker Aldridge thinks that the front three have gone off the boil and are not contributing what they should be.

He is of the view that Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz all look as if the confidence has gone out of their game and urged them to rediscover it soon.

“It’s a big worry at the moment”, Aldridge said on LFC TV after the Arsenal draw.

“Look, up to a month ago they were scoring every game and they were brilliant, absolutely brilliant between them all; we didn’t score from anywhere else on the park more or less.

“But they are all having a lull at the same time, which is not brilliant.

“And you can see in Gakpo’s game, he’s lost confidence, Nunez has lost confidence, Diaz has lost confidence. Mo is Mo, so you know what is going to happen there.

“They need to get back to being what they are good at, being sharp and getting in positions and being clinical and getting the final touch, all of them.”

Liverpool have matched the top teams in terms of goals scored in the Premier League this season, with only Aston Villa and Manchester City having hit the back of the net more times than the Reds.

Klopp’s men however have kept it tight at the back, with just 16 goals conceded in 18 games.
