Derby County star Ryan Nyambe has revealed the reason behind the Rams’ solid backline this season is because everyone compliments each other in that department.
Paul Warne’s men secured a 1-0 win against Wigan Athletic on Boxing Day and registered their tenth clean sheet in 22 league games.
Derby County’s defence this season has garnered praise and Nyambe has played a key part in keeping things tight.
Nyambe, who has helped Derby keep seven of their ten clean sheets, stated that the partnerships and connections between each other have helped them become a solid defensive unit.
And he revealed that everyone in the Derby defence compliments each other on and off the pitch.
When asked about their strong defensive performances this season, Nyambe told Rams TV: “I think the partnership and the connection that we have, it is a real solid group.
“I think everyone compliments each other on the pitch and obviously off the pitch and I think that helps.”
Derby are on a nine-match unbeaten run in the league and Warne’s side will be hoping to continue the run when they take on fifth-placed Oxford United on Friday.
