Iwan Roberts has pointed out that Norwich City’s away form needs to be improved and warned the Canaries ahead of their game against Millwall that the Den is a tough place to visit.

Norwich suffered defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day which ended their five-match unbeaten run.

The Canaries have only managed to pick up 12 points from their 12 away games and tonight they will visit the Den to take on Millwall.

Roberts pointed out that David Wagner’s side away from home this season has been terrible and stressed that the Carrow Road outfit have to start picking up more points on the road.

The ex-Norwich star issued a warning to the Canaries stars that the Den is a tough place to go and added that he is expecting a hostile atmosphere at the Den tonight.

“It’s another away game tonight in south London”, Roberts wrote in his Pinkun column.

“I never enjoyed playing at The New Den (not that it’s that new these days).

“It’s a tough place to go and the atmosphere the locals make there is always very hostile.

‘I had a few bruising encounters down there with the likes of Terry Hurlock, Pat Van Den Hauwe, Sean Dyche and the one club legend that is Keith ‘Rhino’ Stevens – his nickname even scared me!

“Norwich have the 17th best away form in the Championship, winning 12 points from their 12 away games.

“Only rock bottom Rotherham, who are bottom of the away form table, have conceded more goals on the road than Norwich.

“That has to be improved.”

Norwich have a good track record against Millwall away from home in recent times, as they are unbeaten on their last three visits to the Den.
