Turkish giants Fenerbahce have checked up on Thilo Kehrer’s situation at West Ham United as they ponder a swoop.

Kehrer has been widely tipped to depart the Hammers in the winter transfer window as he looks for more regular playing time.

There is no shortage of interest in the defender, with even German giants Bayern Munich looking at potentially signing him.

Now there is also potentially a option in Turkey for Kehrer as, according to Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu, Fenerbahce have asked about the German.

Fenerbahce have checked up on what Kehrer’s situation is at West Ham as they consider a swoop.

Whether Kehrer would be open to moving to Istanbul remains to be seen, but he is keen to play more football.

David Moyes has given Kehrer just 18 minutes of Premier League football this season.

He has clocked three starts in the Europa League, but only featured for 13 minutes combined across West Ham’s last two group games.
