Crystal Palace have asked for information from Paris Saint-Germain on striker Hugo Ekitike, though Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah remains their priority.

The 21-year-old initially moved to the Paris-based club in 2022 on loan, a move that was made permanent last summer.

However, Ekitike is yet to put down a marker at the Parc des Princes this term and has featured for just eight minutes for Luis Enrique’s side.

PSG, unlike last summer, are now prepared to loan him out in January and there are clubs keen on him.

Crystal Palace could become an option for Ekitike this month as, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, they have contacted PSG about him.

The Eagles are keen to explore what would be needed to sign the striker.

Roy Hodgson’s men have prioritised signing a striker in January as they look to address their scoring problems.

They have managed just 22 goals in 20 league matches, equal with Manchester United, and like Arsenal’s Nketiah.

Nketiah though is not a player Arsenal are looking to part with at present.
