Nantes are snapping up Sheffield United attacker Benie Traore on a loan deal, which will include an option to buy.

The French club have entered the January transfer window with a clear idea to improve their attacking options and have wasted no time in striking in the market.

Sheffield United’s winger Traore is the man that Nantes have zeroed in on snapping up.

Traore will join Nantes on loan until the summer, with an option to buy, according to French outlet Ouest-France.

The attacker is expected in France on Wednesday to complete the switch.

The 21-year-old impressed in Swedish football with Hacken, helping himself to goals on a regular basis, but the Premier League has been a stiffer challenge.

Traore has turned out eight times in the Premier League for Sheffield United, but has yet to find the back of the net.

It is unclear what level the purchase clause for Nantes will be set at, but Traore will be bidding to hit the ground running in Ligue 1.
