West Ham United have been keeping an eye on Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier, who has been told that he can find a new club in January, according to ESPN.

Dier has been on the fringes of the Spurs squad this season and only has six months left on his contract in north London.

Tottenham will not be offering a new deal to the 29-year-old centre-back and he will likely leave on a free transfer in the summer.

Spurs are closing in on a deal to sign Genoa defender Radu Dragusin and it has been claimed that Dier has been told that he can find a new club this month.

The Englishman is surplus to requirements at Spurs and the club are keen to move him on in the ongoing window.

Dier has an interest in the Premier League where West Ham are claimed to be monitoring his situation.

David Moyes is open to adding defensive reinforcements to his West Ham squad this month.

With Nayef Aguerd attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, the Hammers are keeping tabs on Dier.

The Englishman could also move abroad where his former club Sporting Lisbon have an interest in him.
