Birmingham City midfielder Jordan James is currently waiting for the final agreement between his club and Atalanta before making a switch to Italy.

James has been a regular starter for the Championship side, featuring in 24 of their 26 league games.

The 19-year-old has caught the eye with his performances for a team that have struggled in the Championship of late.

However, while uncertainty remain over who the club are going to appoint as a successor to the recently departed manager Wayne Rooney, one player who is expected to be on his way out of the club is James.

Atalanta have offered Birmingham City a €5m fee for the player which will potentially become higher with bonuses.

The teenager has already said yes to the Italian club’s offer and is now waiting for the final agreement between the two clubs to pack his bags, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia.

Atalanta believe that the midfielder is a bright talent and are keen to have him in Serie A.

The club currently sit in sixth spot in the Serie A standings, within touching distance of the top four.
