Bayern Munich have yet to receive an offer from Manchester United for Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, despite both club and player being open to discussing a move.

The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their options in this month’s transfer window, but will also keep a close eye on the bottom line as they bid to comply with financial fair play regulations.

Veteran Bayern Munich striker Choupo-Moting has emerged as a possible option for Manchester United this month.

Bayern Munich and Choupo-Moting would both be open to talking to Manchester United about a move, according to German daily Bild.

Despite that, Manchester United have yet to get in touch with Bayern Munich with a proposal.

Choupo-Moting is set to turn 35 years old in March and it is suggested that a move to Saudi Arabia could be possible for him in the summer.

He has experience of English football through a spell at Stoke City.

The striker, who has made 14 Bundesliga appearances this term, is out of contract in the summer.

Choupo-Moting joined Bayern Munich from French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2020.
