Bayern Munich are yet to make any contact with Newcastle United target Serhou Guirassy to discuss a potential move in the ongoing winter transfer window.

19 goals in 16 games this season mean that the forward is on the radar of any top club looking for a goalscorer in the January window.

Newcastle have been strongly linked with holding an interest in Guirassy as Eddie Howe looks to strengthen the depth in his squad.

There are suggestions that Guirassy is a name Bayern Munich are also considering this month, which would represent big competition for the Magpies.

But according to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland (via Fussball Transfers), there is still no contact between the striker and the Bavarians.

Bayern Munich are aware of the conditions of a deal and what would it take to take Guirassy to the Allianz Arena.

However, they are yet to make a concrete move to try and sign the forward in the ongoing window.

Guirassy has a €17.5m buyout clause in his contract, which takes the matter out of Stuttgart’s hands.

He would prefer a move to the Premier League but Guirassy is also open to a switch to Munich if certain conditions are met.

The forward does not want to be a back-up anywhere and wants Bayern Munich to guarantee that he would be Harry Kane’s strike partner up front.
