Bournemouth are considering recalling midfielder Romain Faivre by cutting short his loan spell with FC Lorient in this month’s transfer window.

Last summer, Bournemouth managed to land the 25-year-old midfielder from Lyon by beating stiff competition from Fulham.

The Cherries immediately loaned him back to FC Lorient, where Faivre has been in good form.

Despite Faivre’s performances, the French outfit are struggling this season, and they are 17th in the league table, fighting relegation.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Bournemouth are considering cutting short Faivre’s loan spell to bring him back to the Premier League.

Under Andoni Iraola’s management, Bournemouth are currently 12th in the league table with 25 points from 19 games.

And the Spanish tactician could feel that bringing Faivre back will strengthen the Cherries’ midfield.

The midfielder has featured regularly in the starting eleven for Lorient this season and has netted five goals while registering one assist in the process.
